Information

Update May 6, 2024: 3D2CCC went QRT at 1640z with over 105,000 QSO in the log.

Update May 4, 2024: Repairing broken antennas is a daily task. Birds and wind furiously attack them – Conway Reef is not a friendly place. This is 3rd time the Rebel DX Group have gone there and maybe the last one due to many issues with birds, worm bites and very windy conditions. Low tide completely blocks access to the reef with supplies. They have made some good movies and pictures how the birds take all radials away from antennas, and trying to make their nests with them!  Possibly last day or two and then QRT.

Update May 3, 2024: Ship is drifting away due to weather conditions – she can’t hold the 100kg anchor. Wind gusting 48 knots. Waves about 4m around the reef. Team will run all stations until diesel runs out for generators. Some antennas crashed due to wind and some due to the birds. Way over 50K  QSOs made. Log will not be uploaded until the vessel comes back closer to the reef (boat has wifi).

Update April 29 2024: WX is not so good. Birds on the island are crazy and keep smashing into the verticals every hour. Waste of time using 80m = zero signals; 160 the same. 40m signals are weak. 10-30m very good. CW coming and some SSB. The ship is too far away from Conway and they are loosing wifi from vessel’s Starlink. Will be hard to upload logs for now.  Work and wait.

Update April 28 2024: Arrived. We will now have very limited internet acces. Unloading process begins. Should be on air in 4 or 5 hours time, ie after 0600z, April 28th.

Update April 26 2024: They are on their way to Conway Reef. As they are sailing look for E51DOM/MM.

Update April 14, 2024: 3D2AJT will go QRT on Wednesday (April 17), earlier than planned due to 3D2CCC Conway Reef preperations. Equipment will be packed on to our new vessel and we should set sail soon. It should take about 35 hours to reach Conway Reef if weather stays calm. Limited internet connection during activity. 2 man activity. Priority FT8 for small pistols who really need 3D2/C.

Members of the Rebel DX Group will be QRV on 160-6m (CW, SSB, FT8 and FT4) as 3D2CCC Conway Reef

QSL via ClubLog OQRS, LOTW.

This is a 2 men activity. They will have very limited internet connection, so will not read cluster request, cluster nonesens or cluster band change begging .

2CW, 1SSB, 12 FT8/FT4 Stations

Some important points:

1.You can use any soft for FT4/FT8 modes to contact us. We are sure you will find out how to make qso on FT modes

2. We always send 73' but only 3 times, after 3rd time we are moving to CQ call again.
Log in your qso if you get our report.
WE DON'T care about your dupe QSO's. You can call us 100 times if you wish to, till you get your report RR73.
Each of your 73 will be logged. If you see yourself in the log 20 times don't panic ! Just have fun becouse you are in the log.

Don't be surprised if you see our 2 signals, same time on the same band but different freq.(for example 14.074 and 14.090 or 18.100 and 18.095 and so on ) We are using double antenna systems for on each band.
Due to WX conditions on the reef and millions of birds we will be using vert. antennas most of the time

LoTW will be upload right after request on Clublog. Usually takes some days to send it.
Some special Rebel FT 8/4 ideas will be use on some bands. You can see 6,10 or 12 stream lines same time.
