Church of La Asuncion

Church of La Asuncion
Picture of the church of La Asuncion in Villanueva de la Jara (Cuenca/Spain)
Date: Sep-2003
Camera: Minolta Dimage-XT
Comments: This is a large building of the XV and XVI centuries with high walls, buttresses and narrow windows amongst them. The tower is plateresque at the top with two main massive sections. The fronts are also plateresque, the north front is very decorated and the south front is more informal, with a covered vestibule. Inside the most outstanding is the high altar that has a baroque altarpiece.
