Comments: The island of La Gomera, with an extension of 372 km2, is located in the western Canary group and its more or less round, the highest mountain is Garajonay, 1487 m. above the sea level. La Gomera has been always appreciated by the exceptionally well preserved forests. The people of the island is proud of this exemplary preservation behaviour, that along the years has contrasted with the spoliation of central islands of the group, Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
