Comments: La Alberca, also called Valdelaguna, is located in the southern province of Salamanca. It is located at 1084 meters above the sea and in the northern Sierra de Francia. The originality of their streets and their homes make it a must for tourists who venture into the province of Salamanca. All the traditional houses are made of granite and stone, with its wooden beams and have a maximum of 3 stories high, each floor had a specific use. Formerly, the ground floor served as stable for the animals and the kitchen was on the first floor. On the second floor were the rooms. The loft they used to cure and dry the meat, cheese and cured meats (hams, sausages and pork). The roofs have a hole, so that the smoke from the kitchen to climb out.
