From Martti Laine, OH2BH: As of today – as expected – the permitted spectrum will be 15m and higher. But gladly your supporting letters keep coming in, and we will proceed accordingly. There is a willingness in place at the Ministry, and that is what counts. Getting 14.065 KHz temporarily for the duration of 48 hours would be magic. Thank you for your letters – we need them all. Your supporting letters will be handled in full confidence and will not be made public without your personal consent.
We would like to thank the Worldview International Foundation (WIF), their management and staff as they have put all of themselves into this effort. As Radio Arcala, OH8X remains at their Climate Park with more than 110,000 mangroves planted, our dream remains to activate The Union of Myanmar from our own site from the noise free Ayeyarwady Region of Myanmar. The activity would be on all bands during the XZ2D validity up to April.17. 2020. Kindly look at the WIF effort on the link below and join their climate bandwagon to make the difference — we are committed to have amateur radio doing more than its fair share in it. https://wif.foundation/en/
We are now setting up the station and should be QRV tomorrow – a long way from the city noise.
See you 15M and 10M as of today’s permit and hopefully 14.065 KHz with support from all of you.
(*) Mango DX Group was established in Thailand among the International Alliance Volunteers (IAV) conference local and international participants. They aim to promote Amateur Radio to make it a vital part of the evolving countries/societies in South East Asia (SEA). Their many current activities are paving the way for Amateur Radio’s future in the countries out of the regular beaten tracks.
