Update September 13, 2024: Today is my last full day at Zimbabwe. I will go QRT tomorrow early morning. 12500+ QSO in the log from 114 DXCC entities. The OQRS and Log check request form will be enabled on ha5ao.com/logsearch, as soon I upload the last part of the log. Do not send log check request email. I will not answer them. Use the online Log check request form if your QSO is missing. Please claim your bureau card via the OQRS. Do not send email with digital QSL card. It goes to spam folder and will not be answered. I will arrive to Zambia side of the Victoria Fall at tomorrow afternoon. I can be expected in the bands very late afternoon/evening as 9J2AO. Thank you for the contacts I hope to log you from Zambia.
Update September 4, 2024: After a delay (see below) finally Pista received the antenna pack. As at 13:30z he’s now setting up and expects to be QRV later this evening (local).
Update September 4, 2024: The suitcase with radio arrived. But not the 3rd one with antennas. That bag must still be somewhere in Johannesburg South Africa, he says.
“I’m more than disappointed: another day of activity lost. On the positive side: radio and PA are here now without any damage and the customs formalities were relatively smooth. They just checked my license and some questions.”
Update September 3, 2024: Pista HA5AO informs (via Gert PA2LO) that he just arrived in Zimbabwe, however two of his bags are missing which contain radios and antenna.
