Information

Update May 8, 2023: After the tropical storm system that knocked out all the DX0NE antennas, and the early departure of the ship, Gil decided to QRT. He hopes of returning with a team soon to be able to satisfy Spratly’s QSO request. 11429 QSOs made with, 3923 unique callsigns.

Update May 7, 2023: All antennas damaged due to a low pressure system passing close by. Gil is repairing them. There is also a pirate station using DX0NE callsign.

Update May 5, 2023: Gil will not operate on 40, 80 and 160m for now. He prefers to give a chance for others to make an ATNO on 30-6m bands.

Update May 3, 2023: Yesterday he installed antennas for 30 and 17m and the amplifier is working to 500w. So far he is QRV on 30-6m.

Update May 2, 2023: Yesterday Gil installed the 6m antenna and the VDAs for 12 to 20m. Today he will work on the installation of the antennas for the rest of the bands.

Update April 30, 2023: He started the activity but had to stop at about 15z due to a mains failure. He hopes to be on the air again in some hours.

Update April 27, 2023: Antennas will be a 160m/80m K5WZ Dual Resonance Horse Fence Antenna and SVDAs for 20-10M. Radios will be 1 x YAESU 991A and an ICOM 756 Pro III. Pilot station is Nic, DU1NA who can be contacted at dx0ne.pagasa@gmail.com

Update April 22, 2023: He has agreed to operate 6m EME during his moonrises and moonsets (moon below on 20 degrees elevation) on May 2, 3 and 4. For 6m, he plans to have a 6 element yagi and 1500w. Look for him on 50.200 in the FIRST SEQUENCE running Q65-60A digital contest mode (Q65 PILEUP). this involves only exchange of grid squares. Please see W7GJ's web page for more information:

He does not expect to have reliable internet, but callers can coordinate calling offset frequencies on the ON4KST EME CHAT page

The exact elevation of his ground gain lobes will not be known until he installs his 6m yagi. However, he WILL be beaming out over the ocean on moonrise and moonset and therefore expects to have ground gain starting below zero degrees elevation.
