Information

Update October 12: I am operating as time permits, on 80/40/30/20/17/15M. I can get onto 10 and 6M and have made some contacts there.

The Acom  Amplifier has been repaired, I am indebted to a fellow Ham. Val at the Acom Company for his remote assistance . Good Old fashioned Tech Support. Thank you Val.

Its amazing how Tube theory disappears over the years if you arn't working with them!

The amplifier has given me 6M capability again and I have had EME QSOs at my Moonrise with two of the "big guns" at degrad 4 level in late September. I have a fixed elevation antenna and  can do MR and MS but only for   0 to20 and 20 to 0 elevations.

The 2M OWL 9 Element has been constructed and during the day looks at ZL  for   WSPR  beacon signals from ZL1RS .

In early Octover I'll look at EME with low power (couple of hundred Watts.  Thanks Bob ZL1RS for cutting and packing the antenna parts in an airline friendly form and for supplying the PA parts. I'm working on the power supply presently.

People who want to try EME at reasonable conditions for me, send  an e mail. I may be able to achieve  some elevation with this antenna.

Warwick, E51WL, has return to Penrhyn Atoll (July 28th) and is back on the air after being in New Zealand (left July 25th). He was heard this past week on 20 meters FT8/FT4 (as early as 1900z and as late as 0500z). Warwick mentions that he now has a 2m EME amplifier and an antenna (yet to be installed).
