Update July 12: A further update from Tony:

“Through the kindness of some hams who sent me their FT8 monitoring logs, I have been able to reconstruct some of the lost FT8 T2AR logs of 5th July, and these will be uploaded to Club Log soon. Please note that Club Log is ONLY for FT8 logs and CW/SSB logs are on paper and QSLs can be requested directly through PayPal”.

Update July 11: Tony, 3D2AG reports about lost FT8 logs during T2AR activity:

“I lost ALL MSHV FT8 logs for T2AR! The software apparently became corrupt last hour of operation (5th July), and wiped the log clean. Luckily, I had made periodic backups to ADIF while in T2 so only lost about one hour of FT8 QSOs to EU on 17m on July 5th between 0630 and 0800 UTC – ops can send me screenshots of their own FT8 logs to verify QSOs, but they will not appear on Club Log”.

Update July 2: Greetings from T2 where Tony (3D2AG) and I — after a fair bit of blood, sweat, and tears (yes all three) — have managed to put up an inverted L using Tony’s 18 meter tall Spiderpole for Top-band. We strung out three elevated radials just above the lagoon high tide level and did some preliminary tweaking last night, which resulted in a bucket-load of JA contacts on FT8 and CW. Occasional strong QRN from a public works project about a km away sometimes creates a challenge, but we seem to be OK without a receive antenna.

Other than Tony’s short-lived Top-band activation here last year (strong winds ended it after one night), this is probably the first activation with real potential to log T2 since Stan was here in 2015. We realize its not an ideal time of year, but the opportunity arose to set in motion a humanitarian emcomm project for the remote islands so we make a mini-Dxpedition out of it.

We go QRT on Friday morning our time. Hope to see you in the T2AR log. VY 73 DE KK7L

The next T2AR mini-DXpedition is expected to be on air from June 27th to July 6th, 2019. QRV from 160m to 10m, including 60m on CW, SSB, FT8, RTTY. This operation will be in collaboration with John KK7L, who will activate the T2R Club call during the same dates.

QSL to respective calls. (Tnx 3D2AG)
