Update April 16: Just to let you know that some missing Rotuma QSOs from the 21st of December on 60m FT8 have now been added to ClubLog. There was a software bug that day and logs were lost, but thanks to Jim K2JL who sent some screenshots, some QSOs could be salvaged.
Kind 73s, Antoine 3D2AG.
Update January 10: Very sad news from Antoine. Operation has finished. Read at DX-World the full news.
Update January 4: Finally everything is working again but the return boat will be earlier than expected, so will have to QRT around the 11th or 12th January to return on 14th. read at DX-World the full update from Rotuma Island by Antoine 3D2AG
Update December 30: HF and 160m antennas are back. Read at DX-World the update from Rotuma Island by Antoine 3D2AG
Update December 14: From Antoine 3D2AG, thanks to DX-World: I am now on board the ship headed to Rotuma, which should sail around 0800 UTC. We should reach Rotuma in 48h, around Monday 16th 0600 UTC. Unloading might only happen the morning of Tuesday Rotuma time (17th) hence on the air only perhaps on the evening of 17th or morning of 18th. Setup of the generator and antennas might take 24h. 73!
Update November 29: by Antoine 3D2AG — Sailing for Rotuma is now confirmed (weather permitiing) for the 14th of December. Arriving on the island on the 16th December around midday, I expect to be setup (for lower bands 80m, 40m and 30m at least) by the evening of the 17th and the Spiderbeam for HF and vertical for TB should be up by the 18th/19th. A 5-el 6m yagi will also be setup. Return is around the 12th January, again weather permitting as we will be into our southern hemisphere cyclone season by then. There will be NO internet so will not be able to read any messages about being in the log or not etc. Logging for CW has always been on paper logs and will remain so this time, so I will have no electronic logs to upload after the expedition aside from FT8 contacts to Club Log (no LoTW). More details on the 3D2AG/p QRZ.com page.
Update November 18: Antoine, 3D2AG,reports: "The ship originally scheduled to depart Suva for Rotuma on the 23rd November has inexplicably (and at two days' notice only) been brought forward to the 16th of November! As this is too early because of QRL and other preparations, there will be a delay in the start of the operation.
There are a number of other options being looked at, sailing either towards the end November or early December. News will be updated here as soon as it comes to hand."

The next 3D2AG/p Rotuma Island one-op Dxpedition is planned around the 28th November 2019 to January 5th 2020, weather and transport permitting. Latest shipping news is that a boat shall depart Suva around the 25th of November. Focus will be on low bands including 160m, 80m and 60m, with QRO when required. Beware of pirates impersonating the Rotuma expeditions, especially in EU! There will be NO internet access during the expedition; FT8 logs will be uploaded to ClubLog AFTER the expedition and CW/SSB/RTTY contacts will be recorded on paper logs as customary for this OP. Efforts are being made now to source a backup generator, fuel and pack antennas / gear ready for the end of the month.
