Update Apr,22: Video available

Update Mar,7: Finally we have confirmation of flight at 05:30 local time on March 8th. See you on the air soon.

Update Mar,7: According to new information received from resort Layang Layang, Spratly island our departure is postponed again due to technical reasons. We have meeting with people from Air company and resort Layang Layang and they have promised us that we have flight on March 8th in the morning.

Update Mar,6: According to information received from the resort Layang Layang – Spratly island our departure is postponed due to technical reasons. Our activity we expect will be from March 7th 2018, one day later. More info come

Update Mar,5: All team members have arrived in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and will have a team meeting tomorrow to discuss final plans. We depart for Spratly Layang Layang early March 6th and should be QRV later in the day. We plan to be QRV on all bands 6M -160M with emphasis on the low bands 160/80M for east coast USA. To help with our high shipping costs to get all antennas and equipment to Spratly, support from the world-wide DX community would be greatly appreciated.

Update Sep,28: Website available. The Team: YT1AD, HL5FUA, K9JM, YT3W, ZL3WW, K6MKF, PY2XB, KO8SCA, WD5COV, N6TQS, N6SJ, W5XU, VK3FY, VK3GK, SV2GWY, 9M6ABZ, 9M6RHM and 9M6ZAE.

Update Apr,7: International Amateur Radio Team will postpone the DXpedition and will be active from Layang Layang Island (Swallow Reef), Spratly Islands, IOTA AS – 051 during March 10-20, 2018 as 9M0W.

Team: YT1AD, HL5FUA, WD5COV, K3LP, K9JM, YT3W, ZL3WW, K6MKF, K6SRZ, N6TQS, VK3FY, VK3GK, PY2XB, and also 3-5 local OP’s from 9M6 land.

Team have two vacant places.

They will operate on 160 – 6m CW, SSB, Digital modes.

The reason for the delay activity is because the resort Layang Layang closed in the period December-February 2018.

Hrane, YT1AD now has a team complete for a DXpedition to Spratly Island, Malaysian part:

Team: YT1AD, HL5FUA, AD6E, K9JM, YT3W, ZL3WW, K6MKF, K6SZR, N6TQS, VK3FY, VK3GK and DU1UD.

Period is first part of December 2017. We expect callsign 9M0W. The expedition will last for 8 or 10 days. In our team will be several amateurs from Kota Konibalu. The team will fly from Kota Kinibalu to Layang Layang. More information coming soon.
