Following the departure of Dave WD5COV—to whom we extend our warmest wishes for a successful operation on Peter I—the XU7X management team convened and approved two strategic decisions. While these adjustments will enhance the overall impact of the DXpedition, they will also require meticulous planning to ensure flawless execution. Accordingly, we are delighted to
welcome EI8JB – Charlie, KN4EEI – Mike, and NZ6Q – John to the team. This brings our operator count to 22, representing an international roster of 9 Brazilians, 9 Americans, 1 Ecuadorian, 1 Irishman, 1 Bosnian, and 1 Japanese operator. To comfortably accommodate this expanded crew, we are increasing our active setup to 7 stations—maximizing contact opportunities for all DXers pursuing XU7X across multiple bands and modes.

This landmark expedition brings together 20 operators from Brazil, USA, Ecuador, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Japan to deliver continuous 24-hour amateur radio operations across 6 simultaneous stations. The multi-national team will activate one of the most sought-after IOTA entities (AS-133) and WWFF reference (XU-0008), providing unprecedented opportunities for radio enthusiasts worldwide to secure rare contacts in certain bands and modes with Cambodia.
