Update October 19, 2026:  Saturday, October 17, 2026
We spent yesterday setting up the antennas: a Spiderbeam 20/15/10, a 40-meter loop, and a pyramid antenna for 80 meters. The stations were set up, though we encountered some issues with the QO-100 setup. We enabled automatic logbook backup and automatic updates of the online log to the web server.

Please allow me to make a few comments:

Our team consists of one YL and four OMs, who brought 300 kg of equipment to Lesotho and first need to set up the gear.

Emails requesting corrections to the log will not be processed until after the Dxpedition.

While the station is being set up, requests for CW and SSB are not are not welcome. They only hinder the quick completion of the setup.

The online log is automatically regenerated every hour and uploaded to the web server. Since not every computer submits its log at the same time, it may appear that QSOs from the past hour are missing. The data will be consistent within an hour at the latest.

Yesterday, we continued setting up the antennas; the second Spiderbeam 30/17/15 went into operation. We built a vertical antenna for 160m and installed the 60m dipole. That was all we could manage; starting at noon, we first had showers, followed by thunderstorms. So we had to suspend radio operations for the time being. Annette worked her way through the SSB pileup. Frank made CW QSOs via QO-100. Around 3 UTC this morning, we had to suspend operations again due to rain and a severe thunderstorm.

The team DL7DF and crew (DK1BT, DL4WK, DL6SAK, DL7BO, DL7UFR) will be QRV from Kingdom of Lesotho on October 16-29, 2026 as 7P8GE:
