The purpose of this trip to Chichi-jima Is. is for a vacation to relax and enjoy my first visit to the Ogasawara Islands in 2 years, but I also look forward to scouting out the area for future amateur radio operations.

The main goal this time is to test a minimal setup and check out potential operating locations.

My tentative operating schedule is as follows (all times JST / 2026):

* Jun. 13: Afternoon
* Jun. 14: All day
* Jun. 16: Morning (Note: Schedule may change depending on weather and local conditions.
 * I will be operating for POTA from JP-1288 (Ogamiyama Prefectural Park) and JP-0015 (Ogasawara National Park).

My planned setup:

* Bands: HF to 6m
* Modes: Mainly FT8
* Rig: IC-705 10W / FT8CN
* Antenna: Vertical (5.5m long)
