VU4 Dxpedition & 49th SEANET Convention to be Held in Port Blair, Andaman Islands

First time SEANET Convention to be hosted in Port Blair alongside a major DXpedition

PORT BLAIR, Andaman & Nicobar Islands — The DX India Foundation, in collaboration with Dr. K N Singh 9M2KN, announces the 49th SEANET Convention and a concurrent VU4 Dxpedition to take place in Port Blair this December 2026.

Dr. K N Singh 9M2KN has chaired numerous SEANET Conventions over the years and will oversee the collection and dispensation of all SEANET 49 funds and arrangements.

Event Dates:

  • 49th SEANET Convention: December 18-20, 2026
  • VU4 Dxpedition: December 17-30, 2026

This marks the first time the SEANET Convention will be held in Port Blair, bringing together amateur radio operators from across Asia and beyond to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for technical sessions, fellowship, and on-air activity from one of the rarer IOTA locations in the region.

Join the Dxpedition

Foreign amateurs wishing to participate in the VU4 Dxpedition are invited to register their interest. The operation will run from December 17-30, 2026, and will aim to provide worldwide coverage across multiple bands and modes.

Interested operators should contact the team lead via email: sara@vu2rs.com for full details on logistics, costs, and participation requirements.

Key Deadlines:

  • Expression of Interest: Reach out before May 15, 2026
  • Application Submission Deadline: May 31, 2026

Late applications cannot be accommodated due to licensing, logistics, and accommodation planning for Port Blair.

Organizers

The event is organized by the DX India Foundation in collaboration with Dr. K N Singh 9M2KN, with support from local authorities and the amateur radio community in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
