After a great deal of logistical planning and hard work, I am pleased to announce the activation of IOTA SA-093 – Tutumate Islands, located in the Chocó Province, in the Darién region of Colombia.

The tentative callsign will be HK4/PY8WW, and the operation is scheduled from May 9th to May 15th, 2026.

The logistics are already outlined as follows:

    Flight from Belém, Brazil to Bogotá

    Short connection in Bogotá to Montería

    A small single-engine aircraft flight to Apartadó

    From Apartadó, I will continue by boat to Tutumate Islands

As with my SA-094 Playa Blanca activation, the station will operate using solar panels and stored energy with an EcoFlow power system. However, unlike SA-084, this time the accommodation will be in a camping tent, adding an extra level of adventure to the expedition.

Another important update: I have just received the printed SA-084 QSL cards from the printing company, and this week I will begin mailing the cards for those who requested them via OQRS.
