Update October 21, 2026: I received confirmation on the license to be used in the Nepal Dxpedition. This is a major step for the Dxpedtion since until now, i was not sure if it works out.
A huge thanks to Nabin 9N2NK who made lots of efforts to make it work out.
Right now, I only have a photograph of the Hardcopy, i will ask for the Paper version when i arrive in Kathmandu.
Thanks to this I am now certain I will be on the air. It really was a long wait.
Update August 27, 2026: First of all, the dates got confirmed! I will be in Kathmandu from October 23rd - October 31st +-1day-
My apologies that it took this long, but there was some things I needed to sort out.
Next Thing: I got a QTH for the time. It's a big house with a nice garden in the outskirts of Kathmandu. I was looking for a long time for a good option, the reason I chose this is the Walkable roof which is perfect to install antennas.
Furthermore, there has been updates on the antennas: The main antenna will be a 14mhz delta loop. in addition to that there will be verticals for 18mhz and 21mhz. For 40m there will be an EFHW.
Maybe, I will have the opportunity to build a Spiderbeam as well, but this is up to 9N2NK.
The amplifier is still the same SPE expert 1k3.
If there is any news on changing gear, I will post it here. I'm still trying to get a antenna for 3,5mhz. but I'm simply struggling to find something that is worth bringing, since it would need to be very good.
Also, I might bring a second TRX but this isn't confirmed yet either.
I asked Nabin to start the licensing process, I hope everything works out..
Update June 25, 2026: I have exiting news today, I did some thinking, and came to the conclusion that the 9N7XT DXpedition is infact an option as early as this year.
Since I will be in Azerbaijan in summer, I couldn't fullfill my orginial plan of 2 weeks of QRV in Kathmandu, though it will be 4 day minimum.
I have already been in touch with my friend Nabin, and he said there is nothing stopping it.
The Activity will take place in October 2nd, 2026.
Since last December. One of them being my father getting into HAM radio.
This opens up a new opportunity for us both to get new gear by splitting the cost.
Therefore, we will probably buy a JUMA PA1000+, which I will be taking to Kathmandu if this takes place."

This is my biggest DXpedition planned so far. I got a verbal agreement on the callsign 9N7XT, but this isn't confirmed yet, so it might still change.
