Update December 19, 2025: QRV on all bands 40m to 6m so far at high power. Solar system is behaving nicely and power cuts occur less often, so I will be operating at higher power when called for. Mostly CW and some SSB. Operations are expected to continue until February next year: the jihadists have blockaded all ground transportation coming and and going out of Bamako, So Mali's capital is under siege. If an emergency occurs, I'll evacuate...
Jeff, K1MMB, will be QRV again on 80-6m (CW and SSB) as TZ4AM from Bamako, Mali, sometime between September and December. Jeff reported on QRZ.com (during his last trip and probably this trip): "I have now put a new beacon TZ4AM/B on 50050.5, 50 watts on the air and leave it operating part-time at times when I think there might be openings (but not 24/7 due to power cuts). It transmits at 22 wpm focusing toward Regions 2 and 3 but can be heard in EU during openings."
