Pulau Talang-Talang Besar is the larger of the two Talang islands off Sematan in western Sarawak — the heart of Talang-Satang, the state's first marine national park and a nesting refuge for green and hawksbill turtles.

Access is controlled to protect the nesting beaches, which makes the island a genuinely rare one on the air. Under the callsign 9M8T, a team drawn from across Malaysia, will be active on 80-6 meters (possibly 160m) on CW, SSB and the FT Digital modes, with a real-time CQ feed (ClubLog's LiveStream) so chasers can see what's on where.
