Information

Update August 5, 2025:  "Unfortunately, I have bad news about my planned activity from VK9L-Lord Howe Isl.! Due to circumstances and reasons beyond my control, I had to cancel the expedition to Lord Howe Island ( VK9L )!

Nearly 4 months before my trip to Lord Howe Island ( VK9L ), it turned out that the accommodations there were very limited and it was impossible to book a hotel for 13 nights! There are some accommodations for 3-4 days, which is not enough for DXpedition!

Due this reason, instead of Lord Howe Island ( VK9L ) activity from November 22, 2025 to December 5, 2025, I will activate Vanuatu as YJ0GC.  Sorry for the bad news!
I am working very hard to be ZL7/LZ1GC and YJ0GC DX expedition successful!

73! Stan, LZ1GC ( ZL7/LZ1GC & YJ0GC )"

Stan, LZ1GC will be QRV as ZL7/LZ1GC on November 3-20, 2025 from Chatham Island, and as VK9L/LZ1GC from November 23 to December 5, 2025 from Lord Howe island.

These will be single operator DXpeditions by Stan, LZ1GC. Both the ZL7/LZ1GC and VK9L/LZ1GC activities will be on all HF bands (160-10m), including the WARC bands and 60m band, using CW, SSB and FT8/FT4. Stan plans to be on the air with 2 working stations, on different bands and modes (one on Digital modes and another one on CW and SSB).

Equipment for both ZL7/LZ1GC and VK9L/LZ1GC DXpeditions:
Transceivers: Yaesu FTDX 10 and Yaesu FT-710
  Linear Amplifier: ACOM 1200S
  Antenna tuner: ACOM 04AT

  Antennas:
