Update July 15, 2025: A few hours after reaching the island, C93RRC hit the airwaves. Again, similar to C94RRC, they were initially denied permission to operate by the local governor but after a 2 hour meeting with district chief’s they were allowed.
Members of the Russian DXpedition Team (RUDXT) will be activating two IOTA islands in the month of July. The post the following info on their Web page:
"Dear DXers!
We are pleased to announce our upcoming IOTA expedition to the Republic of Mozambique, in South-East Africa. Actually, we have been planning this trip since 2022, but had to postpone each time due to the lack of logistics.
Please note (!!) that we are not giving any promises to anyone because it's quite a difficult and risky project!
The success of this activity will highly depends on many factors: road conditions, local assistance, etc...
We'll try to spend 6-7 days on each island, depending on local conditions, so the approx. schedule will be as follows:
C94RRC (AF-103) ~ July 5-11th, 2025
C93RRC (AF-098) ~ July 13-19th, 2025
Anyway, we'll be posting updates on regular basis.
Hopefully, we'll be able to run at least 2 high-power stations 24/7 on CW, SSB and FT8.
Our goal is to work as many unique stations as possible, paying attention to distant regions and low-pistols.
Our equipment:
Radios -- 2x Expert Electronics SunSDR2DX and 2x Yaesu FT-891
Power Amps -- Expert 1.3K-FA and EB-500
Antennas -- VDAs (20-17-15-12-10); Verticals 30 & 40m. and 5-element for 6m
You can Donate to this IOTA-project here. Thank you very much!!

LOG AND QSL INFO:
They will upload their QSOs to ClubLog at least twice a day. You can check your CFM using the form below or directly on ClubLog's Web site.
They will use "DXpedition Mode", so you can see all the statistics, best time to work them from your region, etc....
If you are not in the log, the best way is to try to work them again.
All missed QSOs/busted callsigns, etc emails must go to (rv6ali@yandex.ru) and they will be processed only after the DXpedition!
You can use OQRS to request QSL-card. Direct OQRS will give you fast LoTW CFM when they get back from the DXpedition. They expect this to be 3-4 days after we QRT.
For those who provided support before and during the expedition, a card will be sent to their home address automatically. Bureau QSL-card request is free of charge....
