Chris, WA7RAR, will once again be active as 8P9CB from Sea Cliff Cottage in the Barbados Islands between January 18-30th, 2026. All of my operations there will be portable and will be made from some of the POTA (Parks on the Air) sites that are scattered about the country. Operations here will be on SSB and CW across the 20 through 10 meter bands. He is also hoping for some 10 meter FM activity if conditions allow. Equipment during this trip will include a Yaesu FT-710 feeding a ground mounted 1/4 wave telescopic vertical mounted to a homebrewed copy of the Terlin Outbacker tripod. All QSO's will be uploaded daily to LoTW with accurate grid squares depicting true locations of my actual position on the island during our contact. Logs will also be uploaded each day to QRZ.com as well as the POTA database. If our contact does not show as confirmed on QRZ.com within 24 hours of our QSO something has gone wrong with the data entered by one of us.
