Update December 16, 2021: SV2RSG/A has been active in CW and FT8 in the past days, including 160m, but there is little information about this activity and also its length is not known. As there has been pirates using that call lately remember to check at Clublog if your QSO was good.
Update December 5, 2021: The recent activity of SV2RSG/A on 160m FT8 was pirate for about 30 minutes, so check if your QSO was good at Clublog.
Update November 29, 2021: Possible activity of SV2RSG/A on 160m on December 1-7. No more details so far.
Update October 10, 2021: Monk Iakovos, SV2RSG/A will be active from Mount Athos (Koutloumousiou Holy Monastery) on October 10-14, 2021, on 40, 30 and 20m in SSB and CW.

Update September 26, 2021: "George, SV1RP and others are going to Mount Athos to install antennas for 30 and 15 metres for Monk Lakovos", DX World reports. "Look for renewed SV2RSG/A activity at the end of this month".
Update July 23: Monk Iakovos will be active on 40, 30 and 20m in CW and SSB until the end of this week.
Update June 10: DXNews publishes the following information: "The QTH of SV2RSG/A experienced a strong storm and was flooded.
New QSL manager SV1RP, George, says everything was lost, including QSL cards and the transceiver. There is now no working rig there. QSL manager George does have some blank cards he had previously been sent, so if you are waiting for your card from Monk Iakovos you will need to request it again."
Update June 4: DXNews publishes the following information from SV1RP: "Due to many and important monastic obligations but also due to daily forced changes in his schedule due to covid-19, monk Iakovos (SV2RSG/A) assigns me the QSL. Please those radio amateurs who have confirmed contact with SV2RSG/A (Mount Athos) but also those who will be able to contact him in the near future, to send their QSL cards to SV1RP via QRZ. For any other information, please refer to the SV2RSG/A page in the QRZ. Thank you in advance for your good cooperation and patience and be ready to contact the monk Iakovos in the future.

Update November 8, 2020: Michael G7VJR comments in Twitter: News in from Bart, W9JJ at ARRL: "Operations by SV2RSG/A (if from Mount Athos must identify “/A”) are accepted by ARRL DXCC."
Monk Iakovos, SV2RSG, based at the Koutloumousiou Monastery on mount Athos, was active as SV2RSG/A on 20 and 40 metres CW on 25-27 October.
He said this was a "new start" in his amateur radio activity. His operations are not acceptable for DXCC credit for the time being, but work him first and worry later, as they say.
