Picture of a lizard taken in/from the sancturay of Canolich (Andorra)
Date: Oct-2008
Camera: Sony DSC-H5
Comments: The church, as we know it today, got up and restored in the early twentieth century, but there are reports indicating that the place of Canolich already existed in medieval times. It was a small settlement first mentioned in 1176. In 1745, in Valls Manual Neutral Digest of Andorra, Antoni Rossell Fiter i mentioned Our Lady of Canolich as one of the three main shrines in the valleys of Andorra, along with Meritxell and Sant Antoni de la Grella.
