Due to the peculiarities of  Windows Vista and later versions of Windows it  is mandatory to always run the setup program as Administrator.

Running the setup as Administrator:

• Once you have downloaded the setup or update program and you have placed it in an empty temporary folder, like C:\TEMP\VQLOG for instance, you must go to that folder using "Start - Computer" or "My Computer".

  

• When you are in the temporary folder that holds the setup/update program (vqlog31setup) click on it with the right (secondary) button of the mouse and select "Run as administrator". Remember that it's important that the only file in that folder is the setup program.

• Select the option "Allow"

• Now the VQLog setup/update program will start.  Follow the easy setup instructions on display. For new installations it is highly recommended to install it in the recommended (default) folder, that is "C:\VQLog", or in another folder outside "C:\Program files (x86)".

Program execution:

For version 3.1 (build 353) and later, if VQLog program is installed outside the "C:\Program files (x86)" folder it is no longer required to run it as Administrator.

If you are installing a version older than 3.1 (build 353) or you want to install it under "C:\Program files (x86)" then it must also be run as Administrator as explained here.
